Revolutionizing adaptation: transforming the cocoa and coffee industries to fight climate change

The Cocoa and Coffee Interprofessional Council (CICC) of Cameroon and founding member of ACRAM, is organizing an international scientific conference on June 6, 7 and 8 in Yaoundé. The conference aims to bring about revolutionary change in the way the cocoa and coffee sectors are adapting to climate change. Omer Maledy, Executive Secretary of the CICC and External Relations Officer of ACRAM, insists on the urgency of acting.

Waiting for science to provide a solution is no longer possible. Thus, after a decade of research and three years of experimentation, the CICC is proposing a new approach that places plants at the heart of the observation system. This approach aims to strengthen understanding, listening and support for the development of the plant, ultimately leading to an improvement in production.
