Enselme Gouthon elected president of the International Coffee Organization

The International Coffee Organization (ICO) held its 5th world coffee conference on September 29, 2023, at Bangalore Palace, India.

At the end of the work, Mr Enselme Gouthon, secretary general of the CCFCC (Coordination Committee for the coffee and cocoa sectors) and also president of ACRAM (Agence des Cafés Robusta d’Afrique et de Madagascar) was elected president of this instance. He succeeds the Italian Max Massimiliano Fabian.

The International Coffee Organization is the leading intergovernmental organization dealing with coffee issues; it brings together exporting countries and importing countries.

As a reminder, the mission of the ICO is to strengthen the global coffee sector and encourage its sustainable development within the framework of a market economy for the well-being of all participants in the sector.
